Motel Lani

The stay I had at motel Lani was phenomenal. The room was clean and cozy, and the price was great. I would definitely come back, customer service was also awesome!

The rooms were clean, and can't beat the price. We stayed 3 nights here and one night at the Marriott hotel. The owner did housekeeping each night, providing fresh towels and bedding. it had everything needed.

I stay at the Motel Lani every year, for a week of wonderful swimming and walking and visiting with on-island friends. The rooms here are spare/ spartan but orderly and well maintained. The showers are exceptionally strong and wonderfully hot, a very welcome luxury after swimming and accumulating sand. Ultimately, I need a sheltered and safe place to sleep and shower, a covered porch to read under and scrawl postcards at night, after the communities are closed but before I'm ready to sleep. The family that owns and operates this place are, in addition to the simple, accessible rooms, what keep me coming back year after year after year. They're human beings, with histories and joys and powers and sadnesses but they greet me every year with joy in their eyes and provide me all that I need. Don't stay here on your honeymoon, or if you require luxury or sterility. Stay here if you want to interact with sweet human beings, for an affordable rate and enjoy your experience on the magnificent island of Kauai.

Motel Lani was incredible. Best value in Kauai. Just a block from a great brewery and a fun Second Saturday event that we stumbled into. Call and book early as this place has regulars. We were able to pay with credit card in Jan 2025.

Owner was super friendly and the rooms are actually really clean. Everyday I got back to the room it was cleaned! Just don't expect any luxury, it's a room with a bed, airconditioning, a toilet, sink and shower. There was also a fridge. Perfect if you want to explore the island the whole day and just come back to sleep. Room was by far the cheapest I could find on the whole island.

No frills is right, if u just need a place to sleep and shower maybe some much needed rest this is the place for u. No TV, no extras but the rooms are clean and pretty quiet for being close to the main streets in Lihue town. But a major plus is they do have air conditioners in every room... You get what you pay for is what I've heard people say, well the price is always the lowest around and I think you get more then you pay for here, that's if you can manage to book a room bcuz they are usually sold out for months at a time...so check it out maybe u will get lucky and be able to book here...
